An author creates his or her artwork on the canvas of his reader's imagination. At Mephit we're determined to offer lovers of the art of storytelling the best possible resources and support, hosted by both multi-published and up-and-coming furry fictioneers. Here's who and what we have lined up for this year so far...
Writer's Meet and Greet
(Hosted by Phil Geusz)
Calling all furry writers! Let us come and band together for an hour of editor-cursing, graphic-artist envying, and general good times! This will largely be an informal get-to-know-each-other session.
Creating Crucibles
(Hosted by Slyford T. Rabbit and Phil Geusz)
In chemistry, if you want to tear something apart and remake it you often put it in a crucible. It's the same way with characters; if you want them to grow, you have to put them under pressure. This panel is dedicated to helping you do exactly that.
Building Words
(Hosted by Kris Schnee)
Create a story setting in one session! We'll talk about the ideas involved in writing stories that seem detailed and alive, while designing a fictional planet, its people, its culture, and its problems.
Rocks and Shoals
(Hosted by Guest of Honor Jim Lane and Phil Geusz)
What are the classical mistakes that authors make when writing a story? Let's talk about some of the perils that authors face and should avoid when they sit down and begin to compose.
The Plot Thickens
(Hosted by Phil Geusz)
"There was this guy, see? And, stuff happened..." This panel is about making the _right_ stuff happen in your fiction.
Hope to see you there!

So, the weekend is fast approaching
So do we have any more detailed information on the writer's track? It's not really mentioned on the front page like it may be... I dunno, forgotten? There are several writers from FA planning to attend and would like to know more about what we may be interested in.
Where?
How do I find the writing track events? That is I haven't seen them before.
hooray :D
Finally, some info on the writing track!
It sounds like a wonderful line-up. I'm really looking forward to these workshops now!
Should we bring some of our previous work with us? I ask this for both a good friend of mine and me.
