Lan Gaming


Games we intend to play:

  • Far Cry
  • Call of Duty 4
  • Quake 3
  • Unreal Tournament 2004
  • Unreal Tournament 3
  • RPG Unreal Tournament 2004
  • Supreme commander

Things you need to bring:

  1. Computer (the whole thing, monitor, keyboard, mouse, power cables, etc..)
  2. Power Strip ( important)
  3. Cd’s of the games you want to play.
  4. Installed Ethernet card (NIC Card).
  5. 5 feet of Cat5 or 6 cable (the long the better; within reason.).
  6. Headphones
  7. O/S discs, drivers and other such media in case you have a failure.
  8. Hubs or switches (if you have them). Router can only be used if they are not DHCP enabled.

Failure to follow the LAN rules will result in the offender being asked to leave the room.

MFM LAN Room Rules

  1. All MFM rules apply in the LAN room at all times.
  2. You are responsible for your own equipment. Mephit Furmeet, MFM staff, or the hotel is not responsible for any lost, damaged, or stolen equipment.
  3. PLEASE SCAN YOUR MACHINE FOR VIRUSES BEFORE COMING TO THE LAN!
  4. No one under 18 years of age is allowed in the LAN conference room, unless
    approved by the LAN staff.
  5. Roughhousing or Horseplay is forbidden.
  6. Whenever possible please store unnecessary items (equipment boxes,
    etc.) in your room or vehicle.
  7. Please be respectful of other hotel guests and keep the noise in the room to
    a reasonable level at all times.
  8. Installing/uploading to other people’s machines is not allowed without permission from the machines owner.

NOTICE TO FURSUITERS

You are welcome to enter the LAN Party Room, as long as you come in before you are in suit and notify us you intend to drop by. While in the room in suit, please be careful - tails can easily knock over drinks or equipment. There are also trip hazards; if possible have a spotter with you. If you show up unannounced, the LAN administrators reserve the right to ask you to leave. If asked questions about who you are, please respond. Every attempt will be made to be discrete; however please do not refuse to speak to the administrators. This is for everyone's protection - both fursuiters and the LAN Gaming Participants. Thank you.
